For many people living with disability, progress isn’t about one huge breakthrough, it’s about a series of small, practical changes that build momentum. That’s exactly what our Disability Empowerment Grants are designed to do. We fund simple, high-impact items and experiences that make everyday life easier, safer and more connected.
Why micro-grants work
Small grants can be approved and put to work quickly. They help people clear immediate hurdles, like access, transport, training or safety; so they can keep moving toward their goals. When barriers shrink, confidence grows.
What we commonly fund (examples):
- Adaptive or assistive equipment (mobility, communication, safety)
- Training, coaching or skills programs (fitness, swimming, digital skills, arts)
- Access costs linked to participation (transport, modified sport, short courses)
- Small community inclusion initiatives (wayfinding, inclusive club equipment)
The impact you can feel
A bus pass for training sessions might mean the difference between “I’ll try next month” and “I’m starting Monday.” A simple attachment for a mobility aid can turn a stressful journey into a safe, independent one. A short skills course can unlock a first casual job, or the confidence to apply.
What we don’t fund (and why)
We focus on what we can deliver well: fast, practical impact. We don’t fund ongoing medical treatment or large capital works. Keeping our scope tight ensures funds go where they make a clear, near-term difference.
How to apply
- Tell us your goal and budget via our online form.
- We assess impact, feasibility and safeguarding.
- If approved, we release funds quickly and ask for a short update later.
A community of momentum
Our grants are powered by donors, partners and volunteers who believe in practical inclusion. Thank you for helping turn small changes into life-changing momentum.
Our first rounds of grants will open at the end of 2026
