Bobby Bajram’s life is a masterclass in resilience, vision and unwavering determination. At age 13, he became one of the youngest Australians ever diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a condition that would leave him legally blind, reliant on mobility aids, and facing immense physical and emotional challenges.
But Bobby didn’t just survive, he made a promise to himself. Lying in a hospital bed, staring at a blank world, he resolved:
One day, I’m going to walk to the top of the world and see the blue sky.
This powerful commitment ignited a journey that evolved into far more than a personal quest, it became a symbol of possibility and a call to action for others.
While his climb is the thread most people see, Bobby’s broader mission centers on building a legacy, one where every person with a disability can access opportunities, support and belief in their own potential. Though specific programs are evolving, his emphasis remains clear: ensuring no one is left behind and that people with disabilities can push their limits with the right backing.
Bobby has relentlessly pursued his dream to climb Mount Everest, not for glory, but to rewrite narratives around disability. He’s already made history by completing “The Triple”: Everest Base Camp, Mount Kala Patthar and Mount Lobuche East.
Now, with a permit secured, he’s preparing for a full Everest summit attempt, training with local fitness groups and build a specialised support and medical team.
An impassioned advocate, Bobby wants his journey to fund and amplify MS and broader disability research. His ascent is both a metaphor and a mechanism for raising awareness, securing resources, and inspiring collective action for scientific progress and support structures.
Driven by purpose and united by belief, our team supports Bobby’s mission to show what’s possible when courage meets compassion.
Bobby’s Everest journey demonstrates the impossible becoming possible, he’s conquered some of the world’s most treacherous peaks despite being legally blind and navigating life in a wheelchair. These achievements defy expectations and elevate the conversation around what individuals with disabilities can accomplish.
